About the work

These images come from a feeling many of us know. The longing for someone to love. The loneliness that can exist even in the middle of love. The weight of shame you have carried since childhood, and the desperate need to belong.

This city believes in freedom. And yet even here some of us are still finding our way home.

This is not a story about Pride as a celebration. It is a story about what it costs to get there.

This is not Pride as spectacle. It is Pride as arrival.

Loneliness

The feeling of not fitting in, even in the middle of a vibrant city.

Shame

The weight you carry when the world does not understand you.

Desire

The search for connection and love.

Freedom

The hope to finally be allowed to be yourself.
